Antonio Barone (1981)
I studied Industrial and Exhibit Design at Politecnico di Milano,
and collaborated with several design companies and practices
including James Irvine studio in Milan (2007/11) and OMA/Rem
Koolhaas in Rotterdam (2012/20), as designer of products,
furniture and exhibitions. Works include Knoll’s ‘Tools for Life’
furniture collection and pavilions, exhibition design for
‘Elements of Architecture’ at the 2014 Venice Architecture
Biennale, displays and retail designs and an ongoing investigation
on workplace design, which resulted in a system of furniture for
OMA’s Axel Springer new headquarter in Berlin. In 2015 I co-founded Cookies collective, a platform for art
curation and architecture investigating the use of
exhibition-making as a medium.
